The Titans beat KC in week 1 (26-10) and in week 2 they lost by the same score against Dallas (26-10). I’m a big believer in the Bengals at home. They dominated a tough Falcons team (24-10) last week.

Cincinnati went undefeated at Paul Brown Stadium last season and they looked dominant in their home opener against Atlanta. I have no doubt that they’ll win SU against the Titans on Sunday.

The bigger question is whether or not they’ll cover the point spread. With the spread being at –7 it’s very tough, as it could easily go either way or potentially push. Most of the action has been on Cincy.

Tennessee was a surprise in week 1, but they fell back to reality last week at home. Now they have to go on the road in one of the toughest stadiums to play in and that’ll likely spell disaster for the Titans.

Jake Locker is playing better this season and the Titans are averaging 237.5 PYPG (14th). Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter are both young WR’s, but they need to pick it up, as they’re struggling.

TE Delanie Walker leads the Titans with 13 receptions for 179 receiving yards and 2 TD’s. Cincy is 2-0, but their secondary has struggled. They’ve allowed 270.5 PYPG (26th) and 95.5 RYPG (11th).

Despite the Bengals struggles in the secondary they’re only giving up 13.0 PPG (3rd). TEN has been great against the pass (163.0 PYPG – 1st), but they’ve had trouble stopping the run (143.5 RYPG – 25th).

Tennessee also ranks in the T10 in points allowed (18.0 PPG – 8th). The Titans defense is good, but I can’t imagine the offense scoring much on the road this week against a stingy Bengals defense.

Week 3 NFL Gambling Trends

  • TEN are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games in Week 3.
  • TEN are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 road games.
  • TEN are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. AFC.
  • CIN are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.
  • CIN are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games in Week 3.
  • Under is 13-6-1 in CIN last 20 vs. AFC.
  • Road team is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

Free NFL Pick: Titans vs. Bengals

I could really see this game ended as a push, as the Bengals rarely blow teams out, especially when Cincy is expected to dominate. I just don’t trust the Titans after what happened last week.

Cincy completely shutdown the Falcons offense and they have one of the best offenses in the NFL. If the Bengals can do that to the Falcons than I can’t see the Titans scoring more than 10 points.

4* Free Pick On Cincinnati Bengals –7 (-110)

The only question is whether or not the Bengals will score enough on a tough Titans defense to cover. I expect the Bengals to score 24-27 points this week, which will be enough to cover ATS.
